Generals should serve the government, not run it.
Without wars, Generals are as useless as hood ornaments. And they know it.
Face it, folks. Wars are not good for your health, and especially not if you are young. Quite rewarding for the arms industry, though. Gotta keep those wheels turning.
I wonder if we couldn't keep all those young people off the streets if we had some sort of Citizens Conservation Corps. It could run like the old one did. Might even be beneficial to all concerned.
I wonder if our Pentagon money could be better spent, like maybe on education, health care, art supplies.
